FEATURED ENTREPRENEUR - BRIANNA & MYCHAEL!

Brianna and Mychael are two motivated cousins who used double the brain power in 2017 to create “Dat Sweet Stuff” - a spunky lemonade stand with snacks and baked goods to your heart's content. These hard-working girls were awarded 2017 Lemonade Day scholarships for their outstanding lemonade business! This dynamic duo showed us that with hustle and determination, you will stand out among the rest! Mychael and Brianna offered four different types of tasty lemonade at their stand. Not to mention, they included a wide variety of menu items such as pound cake, chocolate chip cookies, cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, popcorn, chips, pretzels, and fruit snacks. It’s no surprise these girls had such a successful stand!

Brianna and Mychael fully embraced Lemonade Day in 2017 by making posters to advertise, decorating their stand with colorful tablecloths, and incorporating fun branding. Although that was their first year to participate in Lemonade Day, they knocked it out of the park! They kept a full days schedule staying open from 10 am until 4 pm. Although they didn’t take a lunch break, they did take some time to enjoy a couple of their sweet menu items to keep their energy up.

Brianna and Mychael were partially motivated by a fun rivalry with their older cousins who had reserved a stand location across the street from them. After all, little competition never hurt anybody! They chose to donate a portion of their Lemonade Day profit to 2 charities: Save the Kids and The American Cancer Society. They also put aside some of their money to save for college, and some to keep in a personal candy fund to indulge their sweet tooth from time to time!

Brianna and Mychael proudly declare that they plan on doing Lemonade Day again. To improve, they hope to get a stand location in an area that will bring more people to their stand. They said the hardest part of running a business was accepting that some people just didn’t want to buy anything. They also said it was essential to work quickly so they could keep their customers happy and keep the line moving. Brianna and Mychael said the most rewarding part of Lemonade Day was getting to be the bosses and exercising the skills they will need in the future. Mychael and Brianna feel lucky to have picked each other as like-minded business partners who pulled together to absolutely kill their first Lemonade Day. Way to go, girls! We’re so proud and can’t wait to see where you go from here!
