Celebrating the Hardworking People of America!

BY DEBBIE NAZARIAN, LEMONADE DAY NATIONAL DIRECTOR

Happy Labor Day

As summer ends, the team at Lemonade Day wishes to pay tribute and say thanks to the contributions that employees and business owners (large and small) have made to the strength and prosperity of our country. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, business leaders have taken the challenges and developed innovative ways to keep their businesses open and their workers employed. It’s a testament to the life skills they deployed when life handed them a whole truck full of rotten lemons.

So, too, our Lemonade Day entrepreneurs didn’t let the pandemic’s postponement of Lemonade Day deprive them of their dreams of owning a lemonade stand this year. They adapted with Lemonade Day My Way creating options of in-person or virtual lemonade businesses. They got creative. They didn’t let adversity stop them just like our forefathers before them who celebrated the first Labor Day in the United States on September 5, 1882.

We appreciate, honor and recognize the parents, mentors and sponsors who contribute to their successes. It’s very rewarding for everyone involved in Lemonade Day to see our kids thrive with our program. We marvel at our young entrepreneurs and know that they will be our future leaders driving an even more prosperous country.

From all of us at Lemonade Day, we hope you have a safe weekend and Happy Labor Day.
